Part 2 of the Treble (tune: The Old Orange flute)
The 2nd
of May what a day to remember
If you follow the Rangers, I'm sure you'll agree
To win the league flag and part 2 of the treble
The forces of darkness they stood in our way.
The Tims they did
brag we could never defeat them
For they were at home, their so called paradise
But we had a mission and nothing could stop us
Collecting 3 points and then claiming our prize.
The game it had
started soon a pattern emerges
The Gers show their class and they'll soon take control
A ball from the left is swung into the middle
To the toe of McCann who strokes home the 1st goal.
From that very
moment there was only one winner
And they knew it too, and it stuck in their throat
We sang cheerio to the red carded Mahe
Who finally confirmed that they'd all lost the plot
The ref was then
struck by a coin from the jungle
A penalty kick it had soon came our way
Then up stepped the Hammer, who not for the 1st time
Slid the ball past the keeper sending him the wrong way
The 2nd half started
, but nothing was changing.
Still Gers in command for all there to see
And soon Neil McCann to the cake adds the icing
He glides past the keeper to score number 3
The fat lady's
singing 3 nil to the Rangers
The league it is won and it's tasting so sweet
The players have a huddle and the fans do the bouncy
All the Tims have gone home now our day is complete
3 cheers Neil McCann
what a great contribution
The Man of the match and there's no doubting that
Three cheers to the players and part 2 of the treble
And three special cheers go to Dick Advocaat
